The Caravan

The caravan is a sweet and charming tiny space with a small porch, wood stove, and a comfy single bed. This building is in “Wwoofville”, which is fairly close to the farmhouse, and has a lovely view of the lake. The composting toilet and wash up sink are in a separate building close by.

The Coop

This is called The Coop because that’s what it was originally built and used for – chickens! Many years ago it was cleaned (very well) and painted, and over time turned into a lovely space. It is fairly spacious, has a propane light, wood stove, small kitchen with a propane stove, and a queen bed. At this time the water running into it is not potable. There is a small outhouse. This building is nestled in the apple orchard, which is a five minute walk from the farmhouse. The orchard is on a peninsula and surrounded by a vibrant marsh. Beavers, ducks, frogs, and a multitude of birds can be seen and heard each day and with each changing season. It has a wonderful view of both the marsh and farm, while at the same time is private and feels like it is in its own little world. Further along the path is a small gate which leads to “Narnia”, an enchanting place where the water from one marsh pours over the top of a beaver dam and into the neighbouring marsh.

“Wwoofville” Bathroom

When our daughter got married on the farm, we built this bathroom for the party. Now it is shared by the bunkhouse, 12×12, and Caravan. It has a composting toilet and wash-up sink, and is clean and comfortable.
